EGYPT – Nile Cruise – November 2025

DAY 3 - 24.11.2025 Cairo – Tour of the Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptology Museum (with lunch included)

Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with an exterior visit to the Pyramids of Giza. The fascinating history of ancient Egypt will take us back in time 2750 years before Jesus Christ to explore the grand monuments: the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mykerinos (exterior), and the Sphinx with the Mortuary Temple. The day continues with the traditional visit to the Perfume Palace, where we will delight in the scents specific to ancient Egypt (lotus, papyrus, desert secret, etc.) and can purchase wonderful bottles, precious containers for preserving the essences. We continue the program with a visit to the Papyrus Workshop to discover how this ancient writing medium was made. Here you have the chance to purchase painted papyrus, typical of ancient Egyptian art. In the afternoon, we travel back in time again, visiting the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, which houses the most important and representative artifacts of ancient Egypt. Dinner and accommodation at Swiss Inn Pyramids Cairo 5* hotel (or similar).

DAY 4 - 25.11.2025 Cairo – Optional Excursion to Saqqara and Memphis

Breakfast at the hotel. Optional excursion to Saqqara and Memphis, approximately 24 km from Cairo, to admire the wonder of the oldest pyramid. The Pyramids of Saqqara stretch across a unique plateau, where the most interesting is the famous Step Pyramid, built by Imhotep for Pharaoh Djoser and the necropolis of the ancient city of Memphis. In the evening, dinner and accommodation at Swiss Inn Pyramids Cairo 5* hotel (or similar).

DAY 5 - 26.11.2025 Cairo – Aswan – Visits in Aswan and Elephantine Islands with Botanical Garden, Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple

Early morning breakfast at the hotel in Cairo and transfer to Cairo airport for an internal flight Cairo-Aswan. Arrival in Aswan and boarding on the cruise ship. On this day, we have the opportunity to sail on the Nile and visit the Botanical Garden in Aswan, where various plant species originating from Africa, Asia, and even Europe can be admired. The garden is located on an island inhabited until 1899 by the Nubian people and is unique in all of North Africa, hosting over 400 species of subtropical and exotic plants. We also make a short visit to the Aswan High Dam, built in 1960. The excursion includes the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, located on Agilkia Island, saved from flooding with the help of UNESCO through the participation of over 50 countries. With the construction of the Aswan Dam, Lake Nasser was created, located on the border between Egypt and Sudan. Lunch and dinner on the Nile Treasure 5* cruise ship (or similar).

DAY 6 - 27.11.2025 Aswan – Optional excursion to Abu Simbel – Kom Ombo – Edfu

Breakfast on board. Optional excursion to Abu Simbel, the great temple built by Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC, consisting of two rock-hewn temples located on the western shore of Lake Nasser, near the border with Sudan. The temples are famous for their impressive facade, featuring four colossal statues of Ramses II, and for the solar phenomenon occurring twice a year when sunlight penetrates the temple, illuminating the statues inside.

Return to Aswan and sailing towards Kom Ombo. Visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon-headed god. The temple is unique in Egypt due to its symmetrical design, with twin entrances, halls, and sanctuaries for both deities.

Lunch on board while sailing to Edfu. Upon arrival in Edfu, visit to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. Built during the Ptolemaic period, it is considered one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.

Dinner and overnight on the Nile Treasure 5* cruise ship (or similar).

DAY 7 - 28.11.2025 Edfu – Esna – Luxor

Breakfast on board. We continue our journey on the Nile towards Luxor, passing through Esna Lock. Upon arrival in Luxor, we begin visiting the eastern bank of the Nile, where we find the Karnak Temple complex, the largest religious site in Egypt, covering an area of over 100 hectares. The complex is dedicated to the god Amun-Ra and is famous for its massive hypostyle hall, colossal statues, obelisks, and sacred lake.

Next, we visit the Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II. This temple was used for religious rituals and is connected to Karnak Temple by the famous Avenue of Sphinxes.

Lunch on board. In the evening, optional excursion to attend the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple. Dinner and overnight on the Nile Treasure 5* cruise ship (or similar).

DAY 8 - 29.11.2025 Luxor – Valley of the Kings – Temple of Hatshepsut – Colossi of Memnon – Hurghada

Breakfast on board. Check-out from the cruise ship and visit to the western bank of the Nile in Luxor. The day starts with an exploration of the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of the great pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun, are located. These tombs, carved into the rock, are adorned with incredible wall paintings and hieroglyphics.

Next, we visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, an impressive mortuary temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs of Egypt. Built in terraces against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, the temple stands out for its unique architecture and detailed reliefs.

We also stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which have stood in place for over 3,400 years.

After the visits, transfer to Hurghada on the shores of the Red Sea. Check-in and accommodation at a 5* all-inclusive resort in Hurghada. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 9 - 30.11.2025 Hurghada – Free time or optional boat trip to Giftun Island

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for relaxation on the beach or by the pool. Optional boat trip to Giftun Island, a protected marine reserve known for its crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and abundant marine life. Here, you can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, or simply relaxing on the white sandy beaches.

Lunch included during the excursion.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the 5* all-inclusive resort in Hurghada.

DAY 10 - 01.12.2025 Hurghada – Free day or optional safari in the desert

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to enjoy the Red Sea or an optional safari adventure in the desert. This excursion includes a thrilling 4x4 ride across the sand dunes, a visit to a traditional Bedouin village, a camel ride, and a barbecue dinner under the stars, accompanied by traditional music and dance performances.

Dinner and overnight at the 5* all-inclusive resort in Hurghada.

DAY 11 - 02.12.2025 Hurghada – Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer from Hurghada to Cairo International Airport (aprox. 7 hours)

ZIUA 12 - 03.12.2025 Cairo – Bucuresti  

Upon arrival in Cairo, boarding the international Tarom flight RO102 to Bucharest, departing at 04:30. Arrival in Otopeni at 07:30 local time.
