Day 1 (27.11.2024) Bucharest – Munich - Panoramic tour with local guide and visit to the Christmas Market

Meet at Bucharest Henri Coandă Airport on 27.11 at 03:00 AM and meet with the Romanian group leader for boarding LH 1655, departing at 06:00 AM to Munich. Arrive in Munich at 07:00 local time. After collecting the luggage, we will depart with the Romanian group leader and local guide for a 2-hour panoramic tour. Among the tourist sites we will explore during the day are: Marienplatz, City Hall, Michaelskirche, Frauenkirche, National Theater, Hofbrauhaus, Residenz, Odeonsplatz, Nymphenburg Palace. (Entrance fees to tourist sites are not included). Transfer to the hotel and check-in. In the afternoon, we propose a walking tour with the group leader to visit one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Munich, held annually in Marienplatz – City Hall Square. The view is spectacular, with hundreds of local vendors inviting you to good cheer and fun. You will find a variety of seasonal products: handmade jewelry, scented candles, Christmas ornaments, puppets, spices, natural cosmetic products, and honey products. You can also try traditional dishes and seasonal drinks: grilled Bavarian sausages, roasted potatoes, smoked meats, cheeses, punch, mulled wine with cinnamon – it’s impossible to pass through without tasting something absolutely delicious. Free time for shopping. It is the best opportunity to buy special gifts for all your loved ones! In the evening, accommodation at Holiday Inn Express Munich City West 3* (or similar).

Day 2 (28.11.2024) Munich – Salzburg – 1-day excursion

Breakfast. Free time. Optionally, we propose a 1-day excursion with the Romanian group leader to Salzburg. The scent of punch and caramelized almonds, steaming chestnuts, and baked apples will captivate your senses, and the gingerbread figurines, tree decorations, toys, and fluffy knitwear are irresistible. The famous Christmas market at the foot of the Hohensalzburg Fortress has a tradition of over 600 years. In the evening, return to Munich and accommodation at Holiday Inn Express Munich City West 3* (or similar).

Day 3 (29.11.2024) Nuremberg – 1-day excursion

Breakfast. Free time. Optionally, we propose a 1-day excursion to Nuremberg (one of the largest cities in Bavaria, the ambassador of gingerbread, and the city hosting the largest Christmas market in all of Germany), with the Romanian group leader. The city offers a generous range of attractions for all tastes: medieval walls and Nuremberg Castle, the old town hall and central square, the Beautiful Fountain or the Marriage Carousel, the Church of Our Lady, the city’s catacombs (which were once used to store what Bavarians valued most – beer). You should know that the Nuremberg Christmas Market is not to be missed. Over 200 white and red-painted stalls scattered throughout the central square, fragrant mulled wine, gingerbread coated in chocolate, grilled Nuremberg sausages – all invite you to enter the warm atmosphere of the holidays. If you want to buy souvenirs and gifts for the whole family, you are in the right place, whether it’s about carved wooden toys, beeswax candles, or the famous gingerbread. Day 4 (30.11.2024) Rothenburg ob der Tauber – 1-day excursion

Breakfast. Today, we propose optionally a 1-day excursion to Rothenburg ob der Tauber – the Christmas city, with the Romanian group leader. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the definition of Christmas! Colorful and animated shop windows, the most beautiful seasonal decorations, gift shops, sweets, and sausages and mulled wine are the stars of the season. Don’t miss the famous Kathe Wohlfahrt store – a paradise of handmade Christmas decorations. It is a miniature Christmas village, seemingly straight out of a fairy tale. On the first floor of the store, there is even a Christmas decoration museum, featuring some of the most beautiful exhibits. The whole town seems like a drawing. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the best place for a journey back in time; it is the city with magical streets to wander, especially during Christmas. In the evening, return to Munich and accommodation at Holiday Inn Express Munich City West 3* (or similar).

Day 5 (01.12.2024) – Bucharest

Breakfast. Free time for last-minute shopping. Check-out. Transfer from the hotel to the airport for boarding flight LH1654, departing for Bucharest at 22:00 local time. Arrive at Otopeni-Henri Coandă at 01:10 local time (on 02.12).
